register

The Public Sector Information Management Forum provides the opportunity for Australian Government agencies to hear first-hand success stories about digital transition and digital continuity.

The two case studies to be presented are winners of the National Archives’ 2015 Digital Excellence Awards, recognising and promoting excellence and innovation in the management, use and reuse of digital information by Australian Government agencies. The case studies are from the Federal Court of Australia “Documenting a transition to electronic court files and the Department of Human Services” provision of digital services.

Ms Elizabeth Tydd

Following the case study presentations, we are fortunate that the NSW Information Commissioner, Elizabeth Tydd, will  provide further insights into how the Commission promotes and protects privacy and information access rights in New South Wales.

Elizabeth Tydd was appointed NSW Information Commissioner and head of the Information and Privacy Commission on 23 December 2013. Ms Tydd’s role is to promote public awareness and understanding of the right to access government information in NSW, and provide information, support, advice, assistance and training to agencies and the general public.

About 30 mins of the forum will be set aside for general discussion.
